About

The Voila Project™ is my quest for all things art. My trials and tribulations and inspired wishes.

I am Ken Penn born August 15, 1972 in Lynchburg VA. Finished high school and attended art school in Richmond Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University. Graduating in 1997 with a B.F.A degree in Communication Arts and Design with an emphasis in Graphic Design. Throughout his education Ken focused on taking on many different freelance and internship assignments resulting in his vast experience in print and web design as well as illustration and photography skills.

After graduating Ken accepted a position at Circuit City Stores corporate offices in Richmond VA as their visual merchandising graphic designer where he created visual display print design for the music, car audio, and home appliance departments until April of 2000.

After a few months of freelancing in the web world, Ken accepted the position of web design for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) in Norfolk VA where he worked and exceeded expectations for the term of 5 years. This is also where he was nicknamed the name Kencredible by his coworkers for the work he could achieved and the playful ego he liked to sometimes play upon.

In June of 2005 after working remotely for PETA in South Carolina for a year, Ken accepted another web designer position with Kiawah Development Partners (kiawahisland.com) where he currently still works remotely from Philadelphia PA.

Leaving PETA gave Ken more time to focus on his art and start to develop the photographic skills he is currently working with today. Ken was lucky enough to meet models in the Charleston and western South Carolina Areas that helped build portfolios and a mutual trade.

Today Ken still focus mainly on fashion and fine art photography as well as musical talent. He hopes to keep growing and pushing the limits as much as he can while always bringing something new to the table.
